WRAP THE SHAFT AROUND YOUR NECK
Anyone who tells you that the follow-through makes no difference to the quality of your iron shots is missing the point. Of course, the ball is gone and on its way, but if you have in your mind’s eye a positive image of how you want to finish the swing, you can improve the execution of your iron shots.
Here’s a good image to have in mind: wrap the shaft of the club around the back of your neck as part of a balanced finish to your swing. What this does is encourage a really positive release of the club into and through the ball. You’ll hit consistently better iron shots as a result.
